What to know
Built for learning
Learn basics lets you push a barrel, undo a corner trap, and plan for two barrels on separate lesson boards. Lessons do not save practice scores. In regular practice, undo restores a move while the timer keeps running and hints highlight one next move.
What to watch for
The important skills are box order, corner safety, corridor space, and leaving the player enough room to recover. The best route is often the route that keeps options open.
How records work
Manual clears save locally and sync when you use a profile. Pending saves have a retry option, and unsigned records can be imported into your current profile. Records links reopen the selected level; lessons and Solution replays do not count as manual clears.
Quick questions
Can I play Personal Practice without signing in?
Yes. The lessons and regular practice work without a profile. Manual clears stay in this browser until you choose to import them into a nickname or Google profile. Tutorial completion is remembered on this device and does not save a practice score.
How does Undo affect my score?
Undo restores your previous player and barrel positions, but the timer keeps running and your move total still includes undone moves. Use the Undo button, U, or Ctrl/Command + Z. Regular practice clears can use Undo and Hint; these tools are unavailable in official Daily Challenge and Battle runs.
What is Solution replay used for?
Solution replay restarts the selected level and shows a valid route from its starting board so you can study box order, deadlock avoidance, and path planning. It is a learning tool, not a manual clear record.
What does a one-step hint show?
Hint finds the next move of a valid continuation from your current barrel positions, including detours from the saved solution. You make the move yourself. It does not promise the shortest route; if search reaches its limits, try undoing a push or study the full Solution from the starting board.
How should new players approach the level set?
Choose Learn basics for three small hands-on lessons about pushing, corner traps and undo, and leaving room for the next barrel. Then use Levels to find a Starter board. Difficulty is estimated; level numbers are not a difficulty order.
How are practice difficulties estimated?
Starter, Intermediate, and Advanced group boards by barrel count, board size, and moves and pushes in a known valid solution. These are learning suggestions, not human ratings or minimum-move scores. You can combine difficulty with name search and cleared or not-cleared filters.
How do practice records sync to a profile?
New manual clears sync to the profile you used when starting the run. If saving fails, the browser keeps them pending and retries when your connection returns; you can also choose Retry sync. Use Import browser records to add unsigned or older clears to your current profile. Sign in with the same Google account to access synced records on another device.
